Dear Susan and Rob,
At first: you have a very interesting and informing site.
I am happy with it while I am a distant Dutch relative of you, age 64, retired, married, 3 kids, 2 grandsons, and since a decade researching my related American Te Grotenhuis immigrants and their descendants, including all their branches by marriage, like the Helders, Boekhouts, etc., etc. My maternal g-grandmother, Berendina (Te Grotenhuis) Heusnkveld, was the ONLIEST of her complete family who stayed here in the Netherlands - the rest ALL immigrated between 1866 and 1893 to the USA, mainly to Sioux Co, Iowa. Your g-grandfather William Te Grotenhuis, Susan, was a second cousin if my
Dutch g-grandmother.

If you are interested I can send more historical Te Grotenhuis information and pictures, from both sides of the ocean.

Greeting from the town of Winsum, in the very north of the Netherlands, about 20 miles from the North Sea,
